Wars, 1688-1691] O’Kelly, Charles Secret History of the War of Revolution in Ireland 1688-1691, Dublin, Irish Archaeological Society: 1851. First edition, quarto, fine later binding of half red morocco. O'Kelly (1621-1695), from Screen, Co. Galway, was an important officer in the Irish army under James II during the Williamite wars. This important book describes the campaign and it is the only surviving description of that period written by an Irish officer.
